An IoT system works reliably in the lab – but how does it fare in the real world? Congested wireless channels, interference from other systems, and changing operating conditions can have a major impact on communication. At Fraunhofer IIS in Dresden, we deploy specialized analysis systems and realistic stress tests to examine the actual robustness of wireless-networked IoT applications – and where potential weaknesses lie. This makes it possible to identify potential communication problems early on and develop robust IoT solutions. This video shows how wireless connections can be simulated and analyzed in a targeted manner and how potential weaknesses can be identified at an early stage.
