At our institute in Dresden, the Experiment Hall and RF Measurement Chamber for Industrial Wireless Communication provide a state-of-the-art laboratory environment for the development, analysis, and validation of wireless-networked systems.

Highlights include a 20-square-meter wireless measurement chamber – an installation whose size and equipment are hard to come by in Germany. The chamber can be used to reconstruct various wireless environments in order to examine the robustness and performance of wireless-networked systems and to reproducibly simulate their deployment environments.

Thematic focus of the laboratory for wireless communication

Industrial wireless communication

Who can use the facilities of the wireless laboratory?

  • Developers, operators, and users of wireless-networked systems
  • Researchers and students in these fields

What can the experiment hall for wireless communication be used for?

The experiment hall for wireless communication can be used to test systems that interact wirelessly. For example, it allows users to carry out functional tests, performance tests, stress tests, and coexistence tests – each of them in different reconstructed wireless environments if necessary.

The test hall also serves as a development environment for innovative communication concepts and offers a realistic deployment scenario.

Key fields of application of the laboratory for industrial wireless communication

The laboratory serves to explore the key topics of wireless analysis and the development of wireless-networked systems.
