Long Night of Science in Dresden

On one Friday evening every summer, the Long Night of Science is held in Dresden. From 6 pm to 1 am, universities and non-university research institutions as well as scientifically inclined companies open their doors to the public.

Dresden residents and their guests are then able to embark on a tour of discovery through the idea forges, such as the EAS Division. Free shuttle buses carry the hobby researchers through the night, and naturally admission is free everywhere. The visitors can speak directly with the researchers about recent results and developments and be inspired by their work and research results.

Science in Dresden is diverse. At various locations in the city, research and development institutions offer an ambitious program of tours, presentations, exhibitions, lectures, music, films and experimental shows.
